I learned that there are not just one species of animals but many other species of wildlife outside in Mr.B's. My greatest memories would be going outside after school with environmental club. My final thoughts about Mr.B's is that "Move little see more, move more see little."
I learned about the different organisms in Mr. B's like the northern water snake, the black racer snake, the blue jay, mallard duck, tree swallow and many more. My favorite memory from Mr. B's backyard was probably either the nature fest with all the kids out there looking at the snake that the professor had caught or the last time we went out there at the end of the year where we just got to sit out there and enjoy the nature. I think Mr. B's is a great way to teach students about nature in our ecosystem in south Jersey.
I learned a lot about mr b's backyard. One thing I learned was if you just sit down and listen, nature is beautiful thing to see and listen. My favorite memory was when we sat down and listen, it felt relaxing.
This year at Mr.B's I learned that there are a lot of animals that are around us and we don't even know it. I learned about new animal species and that just sitting down on a bench and listening to nature can be a very good way to just relax for a second in a crazy life.
I had an amazing time at Mr. B's. It opened up a new way to have fun... Just looking at nature. My favorite memory was Nature Fest . It was cool learning how to catch animal like turtles or frogs.
During my time here at Mr. B's I have learned many new things about nature, and appreciated our environment more. I have also learned to take care of the environment more. Mr. B's is an amazing and relaxing place.
I think that mr.b's backyard was kinda fun,i liked to walk around and look at the frogs and tree's and the bids
Mr.B's is a good place to relax and specify nature and all the cool things about it.
Mr. B's backyard was where i had my best memories of seventh grade because it was beautiful with all the bright colors and animals, plant and more that cant be put into words tho i disliked doing the work i looked foreword to going out to Mr. B's.
i learned about the animals in mr.b's backyard and i loved to sit on the benches and watch the birds fly and sit and watch the pound
I have learned many things from going to Mr.B's and I hope I can still visit there as the years go on. I have learned to respect nature and do not touch any of the live animals in the exhibit. I also am never going to forget the saying " Move little see much, Move much see little." Some of my favorite memories happened this year during Incentive day when we got to pick Mr.B's as an option. I got to see snakes slither in tree's and I even saw one snake eat a baby bird from it's own nest. That was very sad but, memorable because I had never seen a snake slither up in tree's. I also liked that I was able to walk around the site and got to see nature at it's finest beauty. Some of my final thoughts on Mr.B's are that I am going to miss this place and I liked when we got to learn beyond just the classroom.
I learned more about birds and nature
I think Mr.b show what the value of nature. I can not really say best memory is I think all them are good.
I liked our last visit to Mr.B's because we were able to walk around and have a good time
Mr.B's has been a very big impact on me.this place shows me that even though life is evolving and moving forward doesn't mean it is bad to stop and go back for a change. life can be difficult at times but, when you have a quiet small place to go to and... breath. to know tech is not the only source of enjoyment.then you will fully know that life is not so bad after all.
This year in Mr.B's I have learned about animals and nature. I enjoyed that we were able to go out side and experience nature instead of sitting inside and watching a video or looking at pictures of what we were learning about in class. My favorite memory of Mr.B's was when me and one of my friends were sitting on a bench and looking for birds, one came and landed on the fence right behind us.
i learned that we are killing off animals and to not pollut the ocean.I also learned that some animals are in need of each other.
Somethings I learned was that there are different tips of animals, plans, bugs, and microscopic things
I liked mr:bs backyard because it showed me more about nature that i never really payed enough mind too i always ignore the birds and nature but mr:bs made me look at nature because it was right infront of me and i had no choice but to pay attention.
i loved Mr. B's going out to hear all the birds and frogs. They here all so beautiful.sitting and listening to all the sounds.
I learned that nature is very important and that we need to keep our environment clean. In Mr.B's we try to keep the water clean and pick up all the trash. We need nature to keep us breathing. My favorite memory was when I helped out at open house and got to see everything in the water.
I learned that we have life in those ponds and that we should respect them. We have tadpoles, all kids of birds, frogs, fish, and bats. I love the environment I want a nice world. I joined environmental club for that reason. I loved working at Mr.B's. I will miss the ponds. It was fun wile it lasted. 😢😢
Mr.B's Is a place like camp and if you now me I Love camp like my second home. Mr.B's is my third home. It is peaceful and calming. All the creatures are cool and are very active out there. My favorite memory is The Tuesday before Nature Fest. The Environmental club was painting the benches and getting paint all over us. and helping out in being 1 of the 2 how stay till 3:30 to help clean up Nature Fest.
This year at Mr. B's Backyard Classroom, I learned about the macroinvertibrates of Mr. B's and how they help determine the water quality. My favorite memory was of Mr. B's was sitting by a bird box and having a male and female tree swallow sitting next to me. Another cherished memory was hearing my first bullfrog call on our first visit to Mr. B's, and how scared/surprised I was. Being at Mr. B's was my absolute favorite time of the school year!
I learned about the different animals and plants in Mr.B's. My favorite memory is learning about macroinvertebrates.
I loved going out to Mr. B's this year. Every time I went out I was able to learn something new about nature and the organisms around me. Nature fest was incredible and educational. I was able to take a species I was interested in and learn so much more about it. It gave me an opportunity to better understand the species I worked on as well as other species in its environment. Going to Mr. B's is definitely an experience I will always remember.
Nature fest was really cool! I got to present information to visitors and they really enjoyed the game my group made. I learned that Mr.B's has many different kinds of species. Like plants, trees, insects, snakes, birds, and so much more. Just sitting in Mr.B's was very peaceful and soothing since you could here the birds chirping and the wind blowing. I have many favorite memories there since me and my friends could enjoy nature together. It was very fun!
I learned how important it is to protect this reserve an have more kids go to it because kids need to be outside and respect nature. My favorite memory is doing nature fest. I would love to visit Mr. B's again sometime.
Nature Fest was very educational and a great learning experience. I enjoyed working with fellow students teaching others more about our topic. Not only was it fun to be the teacher for the day, I liked going to the other stands and informing myself. Through out the year going to Mr.Bs was an important part of science. I have many unforgettable memories made and I learned about different species. I will miss it dearly.
I had learned many new things from Mr. B's and nature fest. At Mr. B's I have learned about the different levels of pollution for animals in the water also about watersheds plus much more. Then I have been doing nature fest for many years and each year I enjoy it more every year. It feels amazing to be able to go out and show kids different things about nature. If everyone just sits down and listen, they will see and hear different things like birds or ducks swimming in the water. Mr. B's allows people to do what I just described, it is a place where time goes by so fast and nobody wants to leave. My favorite memory at Mr. B's is when we would just go out and walk around. Also, nature fest is one of my favorites because it is very fun to create a backboard and other things like a game for a given animal. Then at nature fest we get to walk around and see other people's backboards. Also, we saw live snakes and turtle shells that were out on display too. Over all, Mr. B's is a great place to go out and just sit and relax. It is just an easy place to go and forget about everything and just enjoy nature.
I learned many wonderful things that definitely expanded my knowledge of the outside world in our Mr.B's Backyard classroom. One of my favorite things that I learned was the amount of species in Mr.B's. It was incredible that there was so many amphibians, reptiles, mammals, birds, bugs and macrobiotics in this fantastic ecosystem.
I learned that there were macroinvertebrates were in Mr.B's. I learned that they are bottom dwelling organisms that have no backbone or spine. You can also see them with the naked eye. My favorite memory is when a friend and I found a plastic cup in the water. We tried to get to it, but we could not. Another classmate of mine put on overalls and went into the pond to get the cup. It was hilarious. He eventually got and got back to the ground safely.
I learned a lot in Mr. B's backyard classroom. Mr. B's gave a hands on experience of what we were learning during class. I learned about macro-invertebrates and nature can be experienced with lots of senses. This program has helped me learn so much more!
The last two trips out to Mr. B’s have come and go, adding another “last” to the list of things that have ended this year, such as band, jazz band, drama, and as of today GMTV. Like all the examples, I am disappointed it’s coming to a close, but unlike everything else, I can’t just join the club next year, because the next teacher after Mrs. Sommers might not bring the environmental club out there, or not have the club all together. After all the times I've went out there, I’ve learned that New Jersey had so many diverse animals, and a lot of them can be packed into one small area. At first, I thought all the worksheets we got almost every time we went out were pointless and annoying, but I realize that they were designed to almost force us to notice how much life is in Mr. B’s. It was nice to finally have an out-of-classroom learning experience which is something I rarely had in Arthur Rann, the school I went to before the middle school. In the end, Mr. B’s is an amazing place and I hope the next science teacher after Mrs. Sommers takes the opportunity to make learning environmental science a lot more exciting and fun.
I learned that if u move much see little if you l move little you see much
I learned many great things this year, the most important one that I that knew already but reminded of was that we got to take care of nature and also that we need to respect the other animals. My personal favorite memory is watching birds through binoculars but in genial I really have nothing bad to say about Mr.B´s back yard classroom!
My favorite memory of Mr.B's is Nature Fest. Nature fest mad me realized how much time I spent on my electronics instead of going out into the nature.
I learned in Mr.B´s Backyard Classroom about different kinds of animals and species. And that when you don´t make as much noise and move less then you can see way more than you usually do.
I really enjoyed Mr.B's I feel like it was better then sitting in the classroom for hours. It felt really nice to just go out side and for a walk.I learned a lot. I learned that you can tell if water is good or medium or high by the things living in Mr. B's. I learned about what lived there like the chipping sparrow ,Norther water snake, Red tail hawk, the painted turtle. I saw a tadpoles for the first time. Mr.B's is great i enjoyed it. My favorite memory is Nature feast and teaching teaching little kids and handing out prizes.
Nature fest was a good experience. When I went on my break from my station I learned a lot from others. Overall Mr. B's throughout this whole year is a great way to show children how the seasons have many effects on nature.
I learned that nature is nice and Mr.B's is a good place to be. My favorite memory is nature fest.
What I learned in Mr B's is that nature is kind and mad in it's own way. Mad in a good way. Animals can be weird at times, scared, or even hungry. And nature fest was nice. I love waiting for kids to come and write down 2 quick facts and leave then sitting down in the shade watching animals go by back and forth.
I learned of the population of the animals in Mr.B's back yard and my favorite memory was nature fest to hear everyone talk about their animals. Mr.B's backyard is an amazing and memorable place to be at!
I learned that they're way more animals than you think. Some are very tiny and some you can't see at all. And all the different animals come out at different times so its hard to catch all of them.
I love Mr. B's Backyard. Mrs. Sommers has taught me so much. Just being out there makes me feel so peaceful. It relaxes and calms me. One of my favorite memories is when I thought it was a fake snake. Like one of those snakes that prank you. So I got close to it not thinking it was real, and it moved toward the gate where I was and so I thought it was going to bite me. Thank you for everything Mrs. Sommers.
Mr. Bee's has been very fun I also learned a lot about nature and nature fest was fun this was my first year going to nature fest and I had a lot of fun one of my favorite memories was making friends with a tadpole and picking up trash at Mr. Bee's. i had lots of fun at Mr Bee's.
I learned that there was a lot more life out there than I thought and my favorite memory would be looking at all of the new things and organisms out in Mr.B's
I learned a lot from Mr.B's about nature because there were many animals we saw out there. My favorite memory from Mr.B's is when I touched snake skin and saw a snake on the bank of the ponds.
I learned more about nature and about more living things
Mr. B's was lots of fun and it was great to learn about the animals the live there and it was great to spend time outside with my peers
I liked Mr.b's a lot. I liked to go outside and to see all the activity out there. I learned a lot about animals during nature fest. I learned how to be more observant about the things around me and to pay attention to the natures movements.
I learned about the different habitats of animals in Mr.B's. I learned to be more observant of my surroundings for the great or good. I learned about different types of animals. I lastly learned it's not all about technology. My favorite memory was when me and my friend found a snake in the tree and ran away.
I learn how to be more observent and my favorite was when I found the baby ducks,the baby birds,and the baby turtle which i named fred. and all the snakes we saw!!! ;o; ;3; ;-;
I loved Mr.B's it was time just to relax and be outside for a bit. Especially the atmosphere of Mr.B's is amazing. I liked nature fest because I got to present something to kids that will hopefully arrive to GTMS. I hope the teachers here continue to take the kids out to Mr.B's because you can really learn something from there. Thats my thoughts on Mr.B's great stuff from the teachers I love the program there doing with Mr.B's!
In Mr B's Backyard, I learned that the less you talk, the more you see. I have seen all types of organisms throughout the year, snakes, bullfrogs, flowers, trees, birds, etc. My favorite memory is when I watched two birds fight over their territory, it was very interesting and amusing to see how they live their lives and mark what they deem theirs.
At the beginning of the school year, I was very hesitant about Mr.B's, I didn't want to go because the thought of snakes slithering and frogs jumping around me wasn't very pleasing. I surprised myself by realizing how much I'd end up enjoying it. I loved just sitting and listening to the sounds of wildlife. I would totally go back to Mr.B's in the future and it has made me regret not joining Environmental Club. I hope that the generations after me enjoy going as much as I did because it was honestly one of the most life changing experiences of my life.
Mr B's is pretty cool because nature isn't that bad and it's a fun experience
Mr. B's was a great experience! I liked getting to go outside and experience nature in person. It was an amazing break from the day, but I also learned a lot there. It was nice being in nature and it taught me that I need to get out more instead of being inside on my phone. My favorite memory was when I saw a snake coming out of the lake and being a part of nature-fest. I really enjoyed Mr. B's this year.
So, one if the main things Ive learned while going to mr.b's is to appreciate nature. I go outside from time to time, but going to mr.b's changed my perspective. When we'd go outside to explore, I loved listening to the sounds. I never really paid it any attention but when I did, it was a different experience for me. The sounds of nature is so relaxing and Mr.B's made me realize that. I go outside often now, too take pictures and listen to the animals.
My favorite memory is when I got look at the macroinvertebrates. It was really fun to look at the species. I liked seeing them alive. Even though it was slightly messy, it was an experience.
Its the end of the year, and overall, I know i will miss this place a lot, even though im going to miss it, I definitely won't forget it.
Mr'bs back yard was such an important home to a lot of animals and it will always be apart of the Galloway schools nothing will ever change about the life for the animals i liked it because it was fun and relaxing to walk around, i will always like mr'bs back yard
This year, the thing that we learned that most interested me is just how many creatures there really are in nature. Specifically in the ponds. I was really surprised when the watershed ambassador showed us all the macroinvertebrates in the water. My favorite memory was pretty recently when we saw a red plastic Solo cup out in the pond so my friend Sean put on the water suit and went out to get it. I really appreciate the opportunity that I received this year to experience nature in depth.
