What I found surprising was that there were plentiful amounts of mushrooms scattered around Mr.B's. They were under benches, under trees and near plants. They were different shapes and sizes. Some were even long skinny pieces! I have never seen this many types of mushrooms in one day.
When I went to Mr. B’s backyard I was very surprised on how nicely it was set up and how peaceful it was. I had many observations while I was there. There were a couple ducks swimming in one of the ponds they were also quacking very loudly. There were yellow and white wildflowers, some of them just bloomed and some of them were starting to die. There were surprisingly snake and groundhog holes dug. I saw many water bugs in the two lakes/ponds. I loved Mr. B’s backyard.
My first visit to Mr.B's backyard was very cool. I was surprised to see the two small ponds and the trails the was around the two.And it was cool to see how much animal life was in that small area.
My first 7th grade visit to Mr. Bees was exiting especially when I saw all the animals and cool plants. A lot of things surprised when I went to Mr. Bees I saw a lot of baby frogs and a snake that surprised me a lot because I thought that the snakes would already be gone by the time that we got to see them.
My first visit to Mr. B's backyard was pretty good. It was a lot warmer and I saw more animals then I did when I just went. It was relaxing. I could see certain birds and bugs. There also was a snake but it was in the water so it didn't bother us at all.
My first trip to Mr.B's backyard was awesome! The first thing that I saw was a huge spiderweb. It was a pretty small spiderweb, but it was so cool. Mr. B's backyard is full of fun and cool things to learn. I also saw a frog. When the frog got scared, it jumped pretty far. It was really cool the way it stretched out its body. If you ever have the chance, you should visit Mr. B's backyard
Well everything surprised me I had never thought there would be so many wonderful things to see outside. Even if its for only a few minutes you might be surprised to see animals and plants out there just relaxing and that's how u know its really peaceful out there.
The trees changing colors surprised me.
There were a lot of small and tiny tadpoles in the pond. There were also a couple of large snake holes.Something that surprised me was that there were a lot of tadpoles in the pong and there were a couple of damselflies.
My first experience with Mr.B's backyard was adventurous. I had lots of fun over there with all the creatures they had at Mr.B's and all paths that you can take. There's one in the back that I could go along, one one the left, and one on the right. I do think I'll have a fun time in Mr.B's backyard.
On my first visit to Mr.B's this year, I saw changes from last year. The weather was good and it was sunny outside. A change that I saw were the new kinds of fungi, especially mushrooms. There were a variety of them, some being different types. Al of the colors, sizes, shapes, and designes were unique. They really stood out to me.
In my first 7th grade visit many things surprised me. One thing that surprised me was the leaves on one tree were a purple color. Also attached to the leaves there were small things that looked like berries. Another thing that surprised me was how the animals ran away quickly when you got closer to them.
My first time in Mr.B's was a great experience that I loved. There are so many different plants and animals to observe. Also, it is in a unique ecosystem called the Pine Barrens. Mr.B's is a really exciting place to go.
My first visit to Mr. B's backyard classroom was very interesting. I saw what types of animals and bugs around our environment. I experienced seeing what kind of small species I never noticed flying around or digging around the ground. Also by the water I noticed all the little tadpoles and little fish swimming around the lake. What surprised me the most was all the little things I never noticed all around outside just living a smaller life besides us.
Since I have been to Mr.B's backyard classroom in September, a lot has changed going into October. One way it has changed is the colors of the leaves, they have gone from being green in September to turning red, yellow, and brown. Also in weather it has changed. In September, the weather was warm and not too cold, it was also not windy, I didn't need to wear a sweatshirt. In October, it was a little colder, windy, and I needed a sweatshirt. What surprised me the most was what kind of insects and animals have changed so much in just a month. Like the tadpoles were gone, and the insects have grown, like the dragonflies and bee's. The birds were also different, not as many birds were flying around, and the ones that were, were different than the ones that were out in September.
It was just breath taking of the scenery and the little ponds that provides most wildlife a place to live. It was amazing how many tadpoles and frogs you could just watch jumping and swimming around in the ponds. I really enjoyed my first visit to Mr. B's backyard because you can have a god time you feel open and the having a time outside after a long day of learning.
On my first trip to Mr.B's Outside Classroom something that suprised me was the water, height. The water height was only 1 meter I expected it to be higher. Another change I noticed was the trees and plants, there were many overgrown areas.
The first time I visited Mr.B's Backyard Classroom, there was certain things that surprised me. There was many giant holes like snake holes or rabbit holes of some sort. In one section of Mr.B's Backyard it was swarming with poison Ivy. I just had to avoid it. And there was the huge pond with cobs. It was like a mini forest tour.
I have been in three schools in the district, and it there has been a lot to take in. One of my favorites is Mr. B's Backyard. When I went out to Mr. B's for the first time in seventh grade I loved it! I saw so many frogs, and cool animals I lost count! Also, all the diverse species make it a thrill to see. It's like a safe jungle that we can go to very frequently (if weather permits.) Not to mention the fact that Mr. B's is a great hands-on experience. To learn about the animals is one thing, to get up close with the animals and actually study them in real life is another. If I remember some things about middle school years, I will not forget Mr. B's.
there were bird, frogs, dragon fly, and 100s of mushrooms growing all around the trees.I was supries the cobweb is saw last year are still there they were tanglen on branches.
My first 7th grade experience in Mr.B's backyard was fun because i experienced things that probably wouldn't have before. A few new things are the snakes and different kinds of cobwebs.
On our first trip to Mr. B's backyard I saw some amazing things. We saw long holes in the ground, snakes, the amazing pond, and the colorful plants. What was surprising was that there were so many holes in the ground.
The first visit this year was just remembering everything and watching others see it for the first time. Luckily, everything was the same. If it wasn't, nature would have been toyed with so I'm happy. One thing surprised me. It was that I found out the huge webs that squeezed the branches together was from a caterpillar.
My first trip to Mr.B's, well, for me, it brought back many memories from elementary school, as I used to go there often. The thing that surprised me most was the water. I know I sound crazy, but the water was just so clear, like glass! And I'm not exaggerating! I'm not sure if it was always like that...but outside, I would've expected more dirty water.
At my first visit to Mr. B's back yard I was surprised by a couple things. One thing that surprised me was the huge ground hog holes in the ground. Another thing that surprised me was that the water was a meter deep. One final thing that surprised me was the tall golden yellow flowers that were growing near the water. Those were a couple things that surprised me at Mr. B's back yard
As a student from Arthur Rann, I had no idea what Mr. B's would be like. I was expecting something like an organized garden. Instead, I was surprised by how big Mr. B's was. I felt like I was hiking through a small forest. There were a lot of different plants and animals. Also, I didn't expect the watersheds. I had never heard of watersheds before, and I thought it was interesting that there were ducks. In the end, I was amazed at how Mr. B's was so different than what I assumed it would be like.
My fist visit to Mr. B's was outstanding. It was outing because I have never bean there and I got to see some cool stuff like hear the ducks quacking, low water.
When I first went to Mr. B's backyard, I was surprise to see the beautiful calm pond it had. There was the big pond which you could see the reflection of the trees. Also the small pond which if you saw closely to the bank, you could see little from jumping and moving around. I also like to see the nature around me. The trees that had birds flying back and forth, and the beautiful green leaves. It was amazing going in there for my first time.
My first visit to Mr. B's was awesome! I enjoyed all of it! The size of the huge wholes! The Cat tail fur everywhere! I even saw an eagle! I can't wait to see what other extraordinary life is inside of Mr. B's.
My first trip to Mr.B's in 7th grade is we were doing observations on around us.When there, the class and me saw some mallard ducks swimming and eating, but we saw more then that though we saw spider webs and I heard some fledglings in a nest near me.
When I first arrived at Mr B's backyard I had a different thought then experience. I had a fun time looking being in Mr B's backyard. Looking at the stuff in nature that I did not know about. There was many things I did not expect to see. There was snake holes, birds, nest, and many more things. The trails is a big circle around the beautiful pond. You could see frogs in the pond. There are very interesting things you could see in Mr B's backyard.
My first seventh grade visit to Mr.B's was an interesting experience. I was there in previous years, but I usually stayed near the main pond. This time I visited the secondary pond. The surrounding landscape was a bit overgrown. It was, however, still very beautiful. I saw two ducks swimming side by side in the pond, one was a male and one was a female. Along the way, I saw a tree that was nearly covered in spider webs. That was a surprise! As we started to leave the secondary pond, I spotted a large bird flying overhead thus ending my first seventh grade visit to Mr.B's.
My first visit to Mr.B's this year was fun. The weather was nice and sunny too. Something that surprised me was the amount of plants. There were a lot of them because the grass wasn't cut for the new school year. I saw cattails, dragonflies, flowers, frogs, groundhog holes, spider webs, and pine trees. Also, there was a lot of wild life. Some trees started to change colors since fall was about to begin.
Since it was my first time ever going to Mr. B's backyard I got to experience a lot of the nature provided. I liked you got to walk around and see the living creatures and plants . There were birds flying above me and even landing on some trees right infront of me which was pretty neat. There were frogs in the lake the jump around. Also there was lots of snake wholes and trees.
With my first visit to Mr.B's I was shocked to see what was out there. There were many trees, tiny fish, noisy birds, and lots of cat tails. If you listen carefully you could hear every little sound there were from the animals, and wind. Many things suprized me in Mr.B's. Both basions had water in them, how noisy the birds were, the trees, and how many cat tails there were at the edge of one lake. I have never seen that many in one place.
I was very surprised how much Mr. B's backyard changed since last time I was there at Reeds Road. My first visit was awesome. I saw red dragonfly's that go very fast. I went through the trail. I saw cobwebs on a tree that were probably funnel spiders. Something I saw that I liked were colorful leaves on the trees. I also saw a lot of birds. Some looked very cool. With red wings and gray wings. It was very good. That is how my first visit was and what surprised me.
This was my first time ever going into Mr.B's backyard and it was outstanding. The first amazing thing I saw was the big sticky cob web in one of the tall trees. There was bugs, branches, and leaves it was like a human glove. The next thing I saw was the big frog near the ledge of the lake. The frog was sitting on a big green Lilly pad. The frog started to jump from Lilly to Lilly. Then it just sunk. The final object I saw was a snake hole. It looked like a big deep bottomless whole. There was a snake in there but it didn't come out yet because it was early in the morning .
It was a great time at Mr. B's backyard
My first visit to Mr. B's was amazing. There were birds in the air and trees. Trees and bushes were growing. Ducks in the pond eating fish. Holes in the ground for ground hogs. Snake holes were around the ponds. Over all it was a great experience.
My first visit to Mr.Bees was very different but, in a good way. It was like a sitting area near the basin on the right of the gate when you enter. There was wooden tables outside for sitting, eating and/or creating purposes. Nothing really surprised me because I have seen an environment before like Mr.Bees.
My first time when i went to mr b classroom i felted scary of the animal that i might see like snakes and ground hog. im not scary of them im just saying the dull frog tapoles.
There were many things that surprised me but the thing that surprised me the most would have to be the two lakes. They were very surprising because there was vegetation and tad poles inside the lake. Also the animal life was cool. I saw a ton of birds i didn't even know existed. The visit to Mr. B's is something i am going to remember for a long time.
When I first visited Mr. B's, I was expecting just a large grass field with plants and maybe a lake. However, I was wrong! There is so much in Mr. B's to see and explore! From tiny toad tadpoles, to slithering swimming snakes, it is definitely an adventure. I saw many plants and animals in the lakes, trees, and bushes. What really took me by surprise were the blue and red dragonflies. They were so colorful and there were so many of them skimming the lake water and buzzing about. I was very amazed by everything in Mr. B’s and I can’t wait to visit it again.
What surprised me was that everything was nice and peaceful. Its like everything was all nirvana and it was calm. When i walked around i saw a lot of tadpoles and i saw a lot of birds and snake holes.
My first day at Mr. B's back yard in 7th grade was fun. We got to see many different types of trees, a snake skin part, and a bullfrog. The weather was great and so was the environment.
my first day in mr.b's backyard in 7th grade was soo much fun. The thing that surprised me is I saw a snake and and i saw a lot of frogs and more birds then last year.I saw water bugs and a lot of other stuff.
my visit was amazing it was so funny i saw tadpoles in the pond there was so many dragonfly i hope Mr.b backyard can stay around i love mr.b backyard
Mr B's back yard was a great experience. We saw many different kinds of, animal, trees, and a part of a snake skin. The beautiful color of the water surprised me. I had great time!
My first day at Mr.B's in 7th grade was awesome. The weather was sunny and cool.A perfect day to go outside. We got to see a really long snake skin and some tad poles in the pond.It was really cool.Something that surprised me was the trees. They were all bloomed ,and bright in color.I expected them to have less leaves because the temperature is starting to get cooler.I love going outside in science its a great to see new things every time i go out there.
We'll this is not my fist time at Mr.B's i came from reeds road so I would go there all the time with Mr.lick and Mrs. Warren and I love Mr.b's it is my favorite place to go in school i mean that's the I look forward to attending all the time also next to nature fest that is a fun thing to do and the best part about nature fest would probably be making the posters and showing the little kids how hard we work to do nature fest and do this kinda stuff for them i have a lot of memories about Mr.B's but I cant say them all although i with i could but that's all i have to say thank you.
When I first went to Mr.B's backyard Classroom this year I saw Two giant spider webs and bees pollinating beautiful flowers. The spider weds had dew drops on them;the dew drops makes the spider webs sparkle in sunlight.
This was my first visit to Mr.B's Backyard Classroom. The air was crisp, hinting at the start of autumn. I could hear all sorts of wildlife, such as birds and crickets. Also, the ponds were big and wide. There were multiple types of trees and bushes. The water was just under one meter, judging by the meter stick in the pond. It was colder by the water than by the school. Something that surprised me was that almost every tree, bush, or plant was green. I expected the same amount of green as brown, but almost all of the flora and fauna was healthy. Aside from this, there were also some overgrown parts of the path, some spots heavy with weeds. Since Mr.B's is such a large area, the weeds probably emerged over the summer when the chances of people going there were scarce. My first visit to Mr.B's was entertaining and educational.
As i returned to Mr.B's I had noticed loads of changes from last year. One change I had saw was that the path around both paths was narrowing down.Along with that there were patches of puffball mushrooms that were puffing with the powder type substance in the air.One last thing I was shocked of seeing was how many snake and groundhog holes there were I was surprised due to the fact there were only a few last year.My overall experience has been one that will make this year great
My seventh grade visit to Mr.B is one experience I will never forget. When I got there I noticed a few things such as the different types of mushrooms. I also saw tadpoles in the water.
But the thing that surprised me the most was all of the plants. I saw at least ten different typs of plants. One of witch was a pine tree. That is why I will never forget my experience at Mr.b's backyard.
The snake on the log definitely was what surprised me on my visit at Mr.B's. The snake was so cool. The snake was a baby, but it's mother swam away before we could see the mother. The baby snake just stayed on the log. Until some one scared the snake away, and it swam away just like it's mother.
For my first time going there I thought it would be in the woods. Suprisingly, it was in the open. there was also two ponds. My first time it was exciting.
it surprised me that i have seen animals i never saw and creepy animals
My first look at Mr.B's backyard I just thought to myself how beautiful. I remember seeing the pond how pretty with the dock I loved it. The first time I went back I saw a snake and ground hog hole...it was cool...but no snake or ground hog though. So my first trip to Mr.B's backyard was awesome!!!
In Mr. B's backyard, I saw a lot of different things. Some of them were bugs like spiders, bees, and a lot of dragonflies. Something that surprised me was that there was a caterpillar that was brown, soft, and had soft spikes that looked pointy.
This isn't my first time going to Mr.B's,but I saw changes. When I went to Mr.B's last year I didn't see mushrooms or snakes. This year I saw a baby snake in the pond and some mushrooms. There were more bees and birds at this time of year then in the spring, since the birds are moving to a warmer climate for the winter. The most interesting thing for me this year at Mr.B's was a red dragon fly, flying around me when we went out to Mr.B's on Tuesday. The water in the pond looked shallower then use ell.I wonder what will happen in the winter.
The first thing I noticed on my first trip to Mr B's is all the green leaves. Now, they are changing colors and some, even falling. The second thing I noticed is the sound of the birds chirping. But due to the cold weather, there aren't that much chirping anymore. Those are some of the things I noticed on my first trip to Mr. B's.
What surprised me about this time going to Mr.B's backyard was all of the animals and the healthy water. It surprised me because sometimes when I go there, there is trash like water bottles and chip bags. Also, there isn't usually many animals when we used to go. That's what surprised me on this trip to Mr. B's.
My first visit to Mr.B's back yard was amazing. I did not expect that all of that was in my school yard. All of the animals were there and the plants and trees was outstanding. Since it was only September all of the leaves were still green. Just amazing
This year in Mr.B`s backyard I was surprised that there was more insects and more plants. Also I was surprised about the colors of the leaves and plants. They were changing to a light red. So I was surprised this year.
My first 7th grade experience at Mr.B's was amazing! So many little creatures hopped, flew, and swam in Mr.B's backyard class room. What really surprised me was how many animals live in Mr.B's like tadpoles/frogs, snakes, birds (many kinds) , butterflies, grass hoppers ,and caterpillars. It truly is a treat to go to Mr.B's and I hope younger generations can experience it just like I did.
My visit to Mr.B's Backyard Classroom was exhilarating, and exciting. Many other kid's in other townships have to travel somewhere else to see the exotic wild life in Mr.B's Backyard Classroom. Fortunately for my school and I, all we have to do is walk a few feet to experience wild life. With my own eyes, i saw wasps swarming around the pine tree, and small burrows for ground hogs. The constant chirping of crickets and cicada's filled my ears, in a rhythmic beat. To believe that monarch butterflies were still flying, toads were still leaping, and tadpoles were still swimming, I had to see it. That's precisely what Mr.B's Backyard Classroom provided for me. Not only that i learn thing's from Mr.B's Backyard Classroom, I got to use most of my senses. Mr.B's Backyard Classroom gave me an experience that i wasn't ready for, and i can't wait to go again.
My first visit to Mr B's backyard was very amazing. I got to see one of the lakes that contained a white female duck and her baby duck floating on the pond. One of the things that surprised when I went outside to Mr. B's backyard was the giant spider webs hanging around the trees.
What supprised me was that there is so much life in Mr. B's that if it wasn't there it would proble be a dry dirt area.
I thought it would've been smaller the backyard. But it was huge. It had 2 lakes and a lot of snake holes. I saw a huge spiderweb and poison ivy. There were a lot of ducks and frogs. It was fun. There was a dock on the lake. I wanted to go back everyday
Mr.B's backyard was the best thing I ever seen I hope we go back before the end of the year. There we saw a water shed but it wasn't that big.
The lake must be dark but it contains lots of life. Life like baby fish and much more.
my first visit was very nice to see all the birds chirping, and flying over my head. Mr. B's is a fun learning experience for all ages, I learned so much and can't wait to go there again
My first visit in 7th grade for this year was exciting. There was the change in water level and a lot of very interesting webs. I really enjoyed my visit!
Mr.B's backyard was cool in many different ways, because I've never been to the backyard classroom since i went to smithville elementary and we didn't have that at our school. Another reason that i find it cool was that there was a passage way to go around the lakes and how we could experience the outdoors.
I wasn't out at Mr. B's because i didnt bring my slip in yet
My first visit to Mr.B's was fun. I saw some things that i have never seen before. There were many plants which have not fully grown. There were 2 watersheds there too. I saw some snakes. frogs, birds, and even some turtles. These watersheds have probably given all of these animals a home to live in. There were also many trees. Mostly baby trees. Well that was my first visit to Mr.B's.
In my experience at Mr. B's there was different plants and animals it was wet and moist through out the Mr. B's. It similar to the things i'v seen before when going out of state. Mr. B's is a great place to go if people like nature.
MY 7TH GRADE EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT. EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY WENT IN 5TH AND 6TH GRADE. i SAW ALL OF THESE COOL COLORFUL MUSHROOMS AND A LOT OF COBWEBS. i ALSO SAW THAT THE LAKE WAS REALLY HIGH AND THERE WAS FROGS ALL OVER THE PLACE
It was my first visit and probably will be my favorite. I saw so many new things that you don't see at your house. I saw a beautiful butterfly I believe it was a monarch butterfly. I also saw a huge bird it's wingspan was huge. I also saw lots of cat tails and many plants , even a few bees. My first trip was absolutely amazing.
When I walked into Mr. B's back yard, it was like walking into a different world. Mr. B's back yard is filled with vegetation, like cat tails and weird mushrooms. Also in Mr. B's backyard there is a lot of life like snakes, birds, frogs, tad poles, and ducks
My first visit at mr. B's backyard was very different from what I thought it would be. I didn't expect to see so many different types of animals that live there. When I first went out it was pretty cool to hear all the different birds chirping and all the different types of plants. I was also amazed by how many new things I got to learn and see at Mr.B's backyard.
What was it like, you ask? Well, let me tell you. It was one of the greatest experience I've ever had! Lakes, flowers, and more. This is one of the best places anyone can go to learn about nature. It has different kinds of animals all over. It's just perfect. There has never been a better place for experience in nature! Mr. B's is a very, very good place. In Mr. B's, you can learn about wildlife, various species, and so much more! Mr. B's is purely amazing. That's all I can say. Amazing.
My first visit to Mr. B's was very interesting. Some things surprised me like how nice some things were colored and how clear some parts of the water were.
My first visit was soo much fun! I was surprised when I turned around the corner and I walked straight into a spider web! I thought/ Was surprised at how fast fall was coming!!!
I was actually surprised because I thought it was only a open space but there was 2 ponds with lots of wild life and features and plants and trees I've never seen before. Also there was a pond with a dock and we saw tons of fish and frogs
My first visit to Mr.B's backyard was amazing I loved it so much. I saw many things I even saw ducks and a frog jump into the water!!! The first time I have ever went to Mr.B's backyard I thought it was going to be boring but it was so fun seeing all the animals and baby frogs made learning a lot better and fun. Some things that surprised me was the ducks. This surprised me because all of the times that I have been at Mr.B's I have NEVER seen any ducks before. Another thing that had surprised me was that how much the plants had grew. Last year when I went it was cut but then so many beautiful flowers had grown and then the cat tails were so long that was the coolest thing that I had saw that on my first trip. That was my 7th grade trip to Mr.B's backyard.
Our first visit surprised me because I didn't expect to see a pond. I thought we would just try to find a frog or something. I didn't expect to see tadpoles, they were really small but they were fast swimmers. There was lots of space to walk around, i didn't know that we had these kinds of creatures so nearby.
first i tought this experience was a one of a life time opportunity and i was never going to do it again but in GTMS i was able to experience again it was just as exciting as last year i was surprise about the change over the seasons. and how they were actual living breathing animal. and my trip was indiscrible
I've been to Mr.B's backyard before i entered 7th grade, and let me tell you, it is a great display of nature, so many unknown organisms and species can be found here. I am very grateful to have Mr.B's backyard apart of my 7th grade experience
My first experience in Mr. B's Backyard was great. It was much bigger than I thought it would be. I loved the paths because they showed every thing in the environment. The ponds were also amazing because they had lots of tad poles'. I think Mr.B's Backyard was a great add-on to our school.
My first visit was very surprising. I had just expected a small garden, but found the home of many varieties of plants and animals. There were tons of flowers, cattails, and huge lakes, like a park The thing that most surprised me were the holes in the ground. Supposedly groundhogs live there. I hadn't expected that, i thought they were just a hole, but of course something must have made that hole. The whole visit was deemed very interesting.
Some of the things that surprised me was how secluded Mr. B's backyard was I had no clue that something like that was back there and how nice it looks.
My first trip out to Mr. B's Backyard I saw lots of wildlife such as turtles, snakes, frogs, birds and bugs. I also noticed that it was the beginning of fall, so leaves were changing their color and getting ready to fall. Also, the water was 1 -- 1 1/2 feet deep. There were turtles sunbathing on the turtle log. It was very pleasant and I hope to go back out again. It was a good learning experience.
Mr.B's back yard was very fun. I got to see new things like snakes, frogs, cattails, mushrooms, birds, and animals homes.
I liked Mr.b's back yard it was very educational and I can't wait until our class goes back.
