I learned many things in Mr. B's backyard. Some things include macro invertebrates, bird watching, watershed and many, many more things. My favorite memory is at the Nature Fest, when I got to hold a baby Northern Water Snake the whole time. It was fun when the kids were amazed at me holding the snake. Mr. B's Backyard is a fun, enjoyable place to learn because its hands on, and you get to see the hundred of organisms that live there.

This year at Mr. B's backyard this year is that there is a lot more to nature than you think there is. I learned that there is not just bugs deer ducks, but also learned the importance of how the plants and bugs play a huge role in the environment as-well. My favorite memory by far is when i lead tours in and out of Mr. B's on open house night because i got to meet my friends and also more people coming here next year! My final thoughts on Mr. B's is that i will miss it and always remember the good times i had when we would venture out into the backyard.

Mr. B's Backyard Classroom was pretty exciting. We got to do many wonderful things out there. We saw many different types of insects and different types of snakes and frogs and birds, etc. It was one of the only chances we got to go and experience nature in school. The only thing that kind of annoyed people were all the bugs that bite and sting. But to sum it up, Mr. B's Backyard Classroom was a really fun experience.

I learned many things in Mr. B's backyard class. I learned that different animals can live in the same habitats. There were all different types of birds, snakes, plants, and bugs. We learned almost every one of those organisms through out the year. My favorite memory was the nature fest. It let me spend more time in the backyard and discover things more. I had fun being the teacher for the day even though it was a little tricky with kids not paying attention. It was a great year in Mr. B's backyard. Made me more interested in nature now.

In Mr.B's backyard, i learned that all kinds of species live in Mr.B's. Such as, song birds, snakes, turtles, rabbits, and so much more. My favorite memory in Mr.B's is discovering all kinds of plants, such as, shrubs. Mr.B's Backyard is a great example about birds habitats. The area is very crowded, which doesnt allow others to examine the area as much. Other than that, Mr.B's is perfect for any science class.

I learned that nature is important. I dont have a special memory because everytime I go out there it's always a memory because it reminds me of Mr.B. I'm so glad they made the Mr.B backyard classroom because not only is it a good way to look at animals but it also is a great memory of a good science teacher.

This year in Mr.B's backyard I learned about micro organisms and water sheds. We even had guest speakers come in to talk to us about these topics. Also, we learned about the animals that live around Mr.B's and how they lived. By doing this I did the Red Tailed Hawk for the Nature Fest. My most memorable moment in Mr.B's is in the begin of the year because it was my first time there. It was a cool sight.

This year in Mr. B's backyard Classroom I learned a lot about the nature around my area. I didn't realize that so many organisms lived near me. I also learned that organisms in the water can yell you weather the water is polluted or not. I had fun getting to go outside and not be stuck in the classroom for 180 days. Mr. B's Backyard Classroom gave me a real experience with nature.

Mr.B's backyard is the home to many different animals. so we have to keep Mr.B's backyard clean and healthy for the animals to continue to live there. The nature fest was a really fun thing to do. My group and I taught about birds of prey and i also saw some of the other presentations that were really cool. I went to this tent were i saw many different fossils of animals and plants. i thought that this was very cool. My favorite memory was when one of my friends fell inside the pond at Mr.B's. it was really funny and everyone started laughing.

Mr.B's backyard was one of the most fun experiences in school I've ever had! It allowed me to reach new hights in learning about the world. I've never seen such a place where a person can just walk in and be given the most welcome feeling just like that. I remember all the birds that flocked and sang in harmony while I walked the trails to the far side of the pond. I remember the times we would catch all those tadpoles, frogs, and insects to examine their health. I also remember examining through a microscope, all those phytoplankton and zooplankton that swam in the healthy and beautiful waters of Mr.B's. All of this has been a life changing experience that gave me a new way to see this earth as a living organism rather than a huge pile of dirt and plants. I will miss Mr.B's Backyard when I go to 8th grade. But it was fun when it lasted.

This was my third year participating in Mr.B's. I leaned that in the three years of participating in this event many things such as, how to identify a bird by its habitat, color, and shape. I learned alot about my topic that I choose (songbirds). I learned why they sing, what they eat, why their bones are hollow, etc. This was a very exciting event and I hope that all the younger kids will be able to experience the Nature Fest and Mr.B's. I taught kids and teachers about birds and they were very into it. I hope I can participate in this event next year as well.

1. We learned many different things in Mr.B's that help us have a better understanding of nature. We learned how pollution can harm even the smallest pond and things like pesticide can have a harmful effect on organisms no matter how small.

The nature fest was great, seeing all of the diferant species that lived ther like the Northern water snake, toads, birds, ect was so fun to watch and learn. My experiance with teaching the kids was kind of disapointing, mainly because the kids came let us get through just two facts out of the twenty we had, most of the time they just came read wrote and left. the games we had didn't interest the kids the were just more worried about getting there assighnment done but all and all it was great non the less.

I have learned that nature is more important then what i might seem in the begining. If it wasnt for mr.b's backyard wouldn't have known anything about spiders and their food and habitat. My favorite memory would be a current event that happened, it was called the Nature Fest and that was my favorite day of the year. Mr. b's backyard is a place where you can explore and see things that are all in one aera and it can be a very useful place to younger people that will come and see the world and can just love it. So, thank you for all your time and effort this year.

My favorite thing we did was the Nature Fest. I learned that turtles come in varies ways. Also that there spine is connected to their shell. I thought this was interesting.

Mr. B's Backyard Classroom was always a highlight of science classes. This year, I learned a ton about plants in New Jersey and a little bit of bird identification. My favorite memory was the Naturefest. It was very cool to see all those plants and their uses. I think that Mr. B's is awesome, but we need to take care of it better. I saw some trash and really beaten up plants after the Naturefest and such. Overall, my experience at Mr. B's was great.

I had an amazing year at Mr.B's. Mr.B's was an excellent way for students to learn more about what is in our own backyard. We learned so much from Mr.B's. We learned about the different organisms in the retention basin of Mr.B's. We also learned that Mr.B's is full of plant and animal species that we never knew about. There are so many different organisms in Mr.B's. I was saddened to hear that this was probably our last year at Mr.B's, but I will never forget all of the memories that I have collected.

I really liked Mr.B's Backyard classroom. I learned a lot about nature and the animals that live there. I started to realize what could happen to the animals there when people put trash and litter over in Mr.B's and how it can affect the animals and wildlife. But other than that I learned a whole bunch. For example learned how rain can affect the water level. And also a cool thing was that there was a lot of snake holes and a lot of cool turtles, tadpoles, birds and more. It was cool at Mr.B's. I hope to go back there soon.

I learned so much this year at Mr. B's Backyard Classroom. The most interesting thing I learned was the quality of the water in Mr. B's. Also I learned a lot about different species of animals such as the Red-tailed Hawk, Mouring Dove, American Robin, Bull Frogs, and much more. Lastly I learned about what Mr. B's is and what it does which helped me understand everything much more. My favorite memory from Mr. B's was the Nature Fest. I got to see some many animals around Mr. B's and saw things a didn't even expect to be there. The best part was when a snake slithered past me and one of my partners. To sum things up, Mr. B's was a great experience and I had a lot of fun. This was a great chance for all of us students to learn what is in our own bakyard. Mr. B's was one of the best things I've done this year.

My favorite memory was when my friends and I were walking down a path a this huge snake goes right between his leg and went into the water. Also when we almost caught a rabbit with our bare hands was a good memory too. I though Mr. B’s was very fun this year. I learned so much in Mr. B’s. It was nice to go outside. I learned so much due to Mr. B’s Backyard classroom. I learned about lots of nature from different species of many animals including birds, frogs, snakes, and other animals around Mr. B’s Backyard Classroom to the smallest creatures in the pond, micro invertebrates. I also learned specifically about frogs because that was my nature fest topic. My favorite memory from Mr. B’s is probably when my peers and I discovered a huge snake at the nature fest. Which are these tiny bugs in the water to determine water quality. We also learned many ways we can help change our world. We can pick up trash and car pool to reduce fossil fuels in the air. If we car pool less oil will go into out Mullica river watershed.Mr.B’s is a great place to visit. You can learn many things about what’s around us everyday. I learned a lot of things in Mr. B's Backyard Classroom. I enjoyed going outside to the pond a lot. I also thought that the Nature Fest was a good thing that we had the chance to do; we got to teach other kids things about nature. My best memory about Mr. B's Backyard Classroom was when we were looking at a shallow part of the pond, and we saw about 200 tadpoles that were all different sizes. A couple of us got to see them in action and see how they act in their nature habitat. Later, we went back to the same place that we saw them last and most of them were a lot bigger & more mature.

The first time we went ou to Mr.B's I was impressed of what had change. Last year the small pond was bone dry, this year the pond was filled with water. Brand new species in Mr.B's, and it was a beautiful site to see. When the seasons were changing Mr.B's was even more beautiful than it was previously in the year. The one memory that I will not forget about Mr.B's was when we went to see how high the water level was with the stick in the pond and when Mr.T went canoeing.

In Mr. B’s you get to do so many things, it breaks my heart that I won’t be able to come to Mr. B’s ever again. I am shore I am going to miss going at least once time a month. When you go to Mr. B’s be shore to take care of those animal and be safe.

The thing that I learned at Mr.B’s, is that the depending on the organisms inside the pond, that can determine the water quality. For example, if there are a lot of a certain type of organism that can mean that the water has too much pollution. But, if there is another type of organism that means that the water is fresh and safe for humans to use it and interact with it.

I had an amazing time in Mr. B's Backyard Classroom. This year I learned so much about my environment and how to care for it. I especially enjoyed having guest speakers come and teach about certain topics. One time we had two women come and teach us about birds. It was really fascinating to see the birds up in the trees and soaring through the sky. For the Nature Feast my topic was the Atlantic Ocean. I thought I knew a lot about the Atlantic Ocean, but when I started researching about my topic I learned so many new things. I learned about all the different types of marine animals. Presenting in the Nature Feast was the best part about Mr. B’s Backyard Classroom, because I got to share with others what my group and I have been researching for weeks.

What a year at Mr.B's backyard! Our classes were non-stop fun and interest. One thing that we did was finding birds with people from Edwin B. Forcythe Wildlife Refuge and classify they're species. Another lesson we learned was about micro invertebrates with Cassandra. One lesson I really love was when we learned about micro invertebrates with Cassandra. We learned that micro invertebrates determine the water quality. I am very disappointed that I cant go to Mr. B's backyard class room in eighth grade next year. I will always love Mr.B's Backyard Classroom

In Mr. B's backyard I learned that many animals in our world are becoming extinct. The oil from cars is going into the lake and killing water animals. I also learned feom my wiki page that snakes smell with their tongues. My favorite memory of Mr. B's was when we saw the Northern Watersnake. My final thoughts were that Mr. B's was a nice, fun expierience for me.

I learned lots of cool things at Mr.B’s. I didn’t know that the male bird sings to attract the female bird. I also learned that there are a hundred types of organisms living there. My favourite memory at Mr.B's was the Nature Fest, It was a way to teach other people about the wonderful things at Mr.B's

When I first went to Mr.B’s I was amazed of all the different animals that were there. When I was at the nature fest telling the kids about species toad they listened to me the whole way. I got to experience catching the toads and letting the kids see them and see what they really look like. When we were out finding birds I learned that there are many kinds of birds out there. One of my most favorite times going outside in Mr.B’s is when we got to look at the food chains in Mr.B’s. For example, we got to find out what different animals eat around us and in Mr.B’s. This year in Mr.B’s I learned many amazing things and a lot about nature around me that I never new before.

This year in Mr. B’s Backyard Classroom I have learned a lot about nature. I realized how important of a habitat Mr. B’s is to some species such as the Gray Catbird, Northern Water snake, and the American toad. I also have a better understanding of how bad of an effect pollution has on the animals and pond and we should all try our best to prevent it. I also know what a watershed is and how it works in the ecosystem. One of my favorite memories of Mr. B’s Backyard classroom is when I saw the red-winged black bird up in the treetop. It was just chirping beautifully and I was so amazed. In the end I have learned a lot from Mr. B’s and given the chance, I would definitely do it all over it again.

Mr. B's Backyard Classroom was definetly one of the highlights of my year. With many of places to explore and many of spices to discover its the best place to go for science class. It is hard to pick my favorite part, but if i had to chose onr it would have to be Nature Fest. What i like about it was instead of being the students you got be the teacher.

What I specifically learned this year in Mr. B’s is that of my project in the nature fest. I learned that there are many different varieties of plants that I could find in my own backyard. My favorite memory is when we did the nature fest. During the nature fest I had the most wonderful time of my life. I also really enjoyed it when they guest speakers took us outside and showed us different things that we didn't know about. If I could I would re-live this year all over again. Now that would be a miracle!

Mr. B's Backyard Classroom this year was great! I really enjoyed it! I learned lots of new things about the organisms and different species that we have here in New Jersey. The Nature Fest was really good because I not only taught others about watersheds but also learned about many other topics. I realized how bad pollution is, and how it's ruining our one and only planet Earth. We need to keep our land and water clean. Overall, Mr. B's was one of my favorite places this year.

In my seventh grade year, I learned and enjoyed many of my experiences at Mr.B's. i specifically learned so much about watersheds, ponds, species, and my local area. My favorite experience in Mr.B's was the Nature Fest , although my station was not the most popular among students , it felt invigorating to share my knowledge among children and adults. My final thoughts on Mr.B's relate to how thankful i am for it, Mr.B's was a phenomenal learning experience for me and many other students. :)

My experience at Mr. B’s backyard classroom was a very good one. I enjoyed it, and I can honestly say that if I had the choice, I would do it again. Mr. B’s is so much different than just learning at a desk in a classroom, it’s so much better. So many kids were more interested in learning because of Mr. B’s. I learned a lot because of the program, mostly about watersheds, and why it’s important to keep our water clean. I also learned about micro and macro invertebrates, the different species of animals, ponds, and many different things. I also learned a lot due to the Nature Fest, I was educated about different organisms, and ecosystems. I really loved the experience of Mr. B’s Backyard Classroom, and I am very saddened that I will not be able to experience it again next year.

Mr.B’s backyard class room is a great way to get outdoors and experience nature. We have learned so much this year…and not just from a book. We are able to do hand on activities that enhanced our learning experience. Not only did we learn about different species of birds, but we went out and identified them. I am going to miss Mr.B’s but I will remember the fun times, and great learning experiences from it.

I thought that Mr.B’s backyard was a really good learning experience for me instead of going to somewhere farther. When I thought at Mr.B’s it was great experience to learn other topics to like when I took my break I went to my friends stations and learned about topics. All in all if had to pick to bring back Mr.B’s again in eighth grade I would again.

This year in Mr. B’s I’ve learned a whole lot from what kind of organisms and animals live there to actually learning how these animals effect us. Also there were many cool experiences that happened in Mr. B’s backyard to pick my favorite but if I had to pick I choose the Nature Fest! I loved working on my topic (the turtles) and then going outside and teaching the younger kids and even some of the teachers.

I learned a TON of new things here in Mr. B’s backyard. There are so many interesting things there, like the black snakes, and the turtles that live in the water. I never knew that dragonflies spend most of their life underwater! I learned so much about things like watersheds, and the Pine Lands, that I truly think it was worth making such a classroom. I also learned a ton about different species of animals, such as birds, and pond creatures. I still remember when we studied all the different types of organisms in the pond. It was so cool that we could study the leeches and the dragonfly nymphs. I will never forget all the facts I learned that day. I was just fascinated by what I learned!

In Mr.B’s, I learned that there are many species that live there that I didn't even know of! I also didn't know that the two ponds in Mr.B’s backyard classroom are part of the Mullica River Watershed! Honestly, my favorite memory was the first time I went there this year, and I compared it to the last time I saw it the year before. Mr.B’s backyard classroom is a very fun and unique place to learn. When I got the letter that states my team and my teachers, I was overjoyed because I had gotten the teacher that would take us to Mr. B’s Backyard Classroom. I learned so much about the specific species of organisms there, rather than just walking around. When we stayed in Mr. B’s for lunch, I was so surprised at the many animals we caught dwelling in the water. Taking notes on birds was also interesting to learn because I've always been fascinated by them. Now that I know how to identify some indigenous bird species, I can look for them in my own backyard. My favorite memory of Mr. B’s Backyard classroom was getting a close look at a bullfrog tadpole. We had been searching for them after school for the Naturefest presentations. I will miss Mr. B’s Backyard classroom dearly, but I hope that the next group of students enjoys it as much as I did.

What I learned in Mr.B’s is the variety of different animals and their habitat. I learned about the different water sheds in New Jersey. I loved to walk around and pick up the trash to keep the animals in Mr.B’s safe and sound. The most important thing I learned there was how to keep our neighborhood clean and how to make a change in the world just by doing little things.

I had enjoyed Mr.B's Backyard Classroom so much this year at GTMS. I have learned about new species of animals and their environment at Mr.B's Backyard Classroom. My most favorite topic is definetly and absolutely about snakes since we got to see them and even saw its skin when it shed out of its skin and into its new one. My topic at Mr.B's was frogs and I got to teach kids what they do and how they lived. I enjoyed Mr.B's Backyard Classroom very much this year and was a exiting lesson and expirence.

I really learned a lot this year. I really enjoyed learning about science and nature. I also learned a lot about frogs because I was even making a project about them. I didn’t only learn about frogs I learned a lot about other species too. I never knew that frogs can lay up to 4,000 eggs, and they absorb water to their skin so they don’t need to drink. When I first learned that I was like: “what”? When I was in my country Haiti, I saw frogs everywhere I went and didn’t know their importance, and how they ate harmful pests. Now I know that when I see them, it is my responsibility to help them.

I learned about the food pyramind, and what a watershed is. The food pyramind includes consumers, producers, and decomposers. Decompsers include Fungi and Mushrooms. My favorite memory in Mr.B's backyard Classroom is when we took a sample of what lives in Mr.B's, and analyze them. There were tons of hands-on activities, which helped me understand what we were doing. It's a valuable program because many kids don't even know what lives around them. Mr.B's Backyard Classroom, taught me what lives in the ponds, or how they grow.

Mr. B's is something like no other. You can easily learn and capture new knowledge. You always learn something new with Mr. B's backyard; you can see examples and other resources visually, making it easier to understand. Many people may take it for granted and think it's a right to have but its so much more then that. Mr. B's backyard is a great way to interact with nature and living organisms. Even though I may not have known Mr. B I still like to know that I can be apart of it.

Mr.B's Backyard Classroom was a great place to learn about nature. Going to Mr.B's helped us with our Nature Fest project because some of the topics we had, were already inside Mr.B's. My topic of Groundhogs were inside Mr.B's, there were a couple of Groundhog holes. One day in Mr.B's we went birding. That day was a fun day, learning what each and every birds difference was to the other one. I enjoy going to Mr.B's because it is a fun way to learn about the animals, and plants inside Mr.B's. This year at Mr.B's Backyard Classroom was boatloads of immense fun. I learned tons of useful information within the class-times we utilized for the class. I, specifically, recall the lesson about water quality. For this lesson, we had a guest speaker discuss many aspects of water quality. We learned that there are many forms of pollution that could make our water disgusting and unusable. In addition, we were taught that there are many species of small bugs or micro-organisms that dwell in the water. These may include mosquito larvae, and pond skaters.

In Mr. Bs Backyard Classroom this year I learned about all the different living things and what requirements they need in order to survive. I learned about their habitats, behavior, diet, reproduction, and much more! I think Mr. Bs is a great way of learning about our surroundings and how to care for it. My favorite memory from my 7th grade year out in Mr. Bs would have to be when the water shed ambassador, Kassandra, came out with us and we got water samples and dug in them to find all the living organisms. Finally, I think that Mr. Bs will inspire many students to learn how to be kind to nature and maybe even think about becoming part of it even more!

Mr.b's is a great and exciting way to learn things! its is fun to be out there and not feel like your stuck in a class room. I learned many new interesting things out there this year and some of my favorites are..... when the special speaker Cassandra, water shed ambassador came here and did some hands on experiments with us. Like finding all the little bugs and creatures from the water instead of just telling us about it. I have also had many times to just go out there and explore other animals like the birds, some small snakes, and the eastern cotton tail rabbit, was very cool to watch live in their natural habitat and to see their movements and hiding places. Mr.b's has been really fun and taught me a lot of things that i'm glad i could learn in a new way, i'm happy i had the opportunity to be apart of this program and have to privilege to be out there...
