I didn't realize how many bugs could be in one sample!
It was cool using other scenes in stead of just looking we used touch and hearing to see Mr. B's in a new direction
I never really appreciated the smells of all the plants.
I learned that the same trees might have different feels. That some leaves smell and some don't , some smell good and some don't. I thought that this was a cool experience because it's not like every day we go outside and feel trees and leaves.
I noticed many things when it was quiet in Mr.B's. If you listen and not run around and be loud you hear many different sounds. From things that fly to things like frogs. I heard different birds singing and making noise. Then a bullfrog, which I didn't know where that loud! I noticed lots of things when its quiet in Mr.B's.
When I sat quietly and observed Mr.B I noticed that there are way more species then you think you can hear the birds chirping and the toads making noises. Also I observed the trees and all the different types of tree's
I learned that there are more things in nature than I had actually thought about. There are way more species in Mr.B's than just Blue Jay's and Red Robin's. There are toads croaking, and birds chirping.
I liked how Mr.B's is quiet and you can hear nature if you are quiet yourself. I got to see and hear a lot of new things in Mr.B's.
I noticed that when you just sit down and listen and not move theres alot of action in Mr.B's even more action than if you just keep moving.
By taking the time to observe Mr.B's I learned that there is a lot of things going on at once. You could here all the birds chirping and the frogs croaking.
There are a lot of different noises that i haven't noticed before.
I noticed that listening and not moving means I get to see a lot and I get to hear new things I don't get to hear when i'm talking or get to see when i'm moving.
I noticed that when you sit and just listen(not moving)), you see more motion in the livings rather than when your loud.
I learned new smells, textures and sounds in nature from Mr. b's backyard classroom.
I learned about many different animals, i learned from listening, to listen to different birds. I learned new things with my senses about nature that i haven't known about before.
I noticed how beautiful nature is when you stop to look and listen.
It is actually very nice and calm to be out there but i never noticed how beautiful it is out there like the trees and the birds.
I learned a lot about nature and wildlife when you observe quietly with your senses. There was many thing to smell around Mr.B's that amazed me. Such as sasafras, sweet furn, & minty. I also saw heard many birds and bullfrogs making sounds. Finally I touched some rough, smooth, and sticky stuff.
By taking my time at mr.B's i saw and heard many things i didnt before. I heard bullfrogs and birds, i saw a bunny and snake, and mallard duck eggs.
Mr.bs is actually nice and calm but i never noticed before how beautiful the trees and animals.
By siting and observing Mr.B's I learned that the less you move the more you will see. I had notice that when one of your senses is gone then the others get better.
I noticed that if I took time to use other senses that I got to see more and hear more animals then I would have if I was talking.
i noticed many interesting things and noises at Mr.B's For example, the bullfrog it makes a sort of calling. Also, bird callings, from everywhere and many tree leaves shaking against each other. I also felt different types of barks that were rough and wet. Really moist leaves on most trees or weird different berries. The smells I've smelled was the smell of pine. Therefor, some different kinds of fern smelled like a fresh sweet root beer float at the bottom. Mr.B's is filled with many different kinds of amazing species of animals and incredible kinds of plants or fern.
Some things i noticed/learned at Mr.B's by taking time to observe nature quietly using my other senses were, all the different noises like, ducks quacking, birds chirping, and the wind. I also found out that there are many other animals/ insects like rabbits and tadpoles and that there are many different smells like a minty leaf and a stick that smells like rootbeer.
I noticed many more sounds by not using my sight. I heard different types of birds and bullfrogs croaking. I learned all your senses can become more sharper when you take away one.
I learned that nature is very beautiful.
I learned that it's not so hard using your other senses instead of your sight.I also learned that if I couldn't see nothing my others senses will kick in so more and work more than others. If i was bling like aliyah is and she can sense her senses so much tan we can because we can see.
the more that you take your time you can hear, see, and feel the animals around Mr's b back yard.
I noticed all the different species of birds's calls, and unique frog calls and noises.
In Mr B's there is soo much too hear. As I listened to the bride's singing to the frog's ribbit. Aaliyah showed me that there are more things that meet the eye.
When I was out at Mr. B's I heard lots of birds chirping. I heard nature. I saw nature. Mr. B's is a very nice place, it has a lot of wildlife there. I learned that you can determine what something is by using your other senses.
Something I notice about Mr.B's is the different type of dragonflies that was flying over the water. Something else I notice was the birds flying around me without noticing me. The birds was siting in the tree minding their businesses .
It sounded nice to hear all the different birds with out seeing them.
When out at Mr.B's I worked with Aaliyah. During this I realized there are way more birds than we just see. I got to take in my other senses and see how it feels like to only have 4 senses. I realized that a lot of the plants have abnormal textures and different scents.
When I was quiet and observed Mr.B's, I heard many more noises from birds. Also, I felt more in touch with my surroundings and saw much more.
Over the time of just sitting there and taking my time observing the nature quietly using my other senses I have noticed so much that I haven't noticed before. Taking my time I saw how nature comes and goes like that. Ducks swimming together in one of the ponds or butterfly's or dragonfly mating. Its wonderful what your body can see and do in such little time. Have you ever wondered what a bug does when its sits on a leaf or flower its either trying to find some type of food or something. Aaliyah inspired me to close my eyes and just use my resources other than my eyes. She has to use her hands, smell, taste, and hearing its remarkable. There is so much movement and sounds that I didn't no what to concentrate on first. When your outside sometime sit down close your eyes and use your other senses something may surprise you like it did to me.
I didn't notice nor learn anything because all I did (with the blind fold) was walk up a slope, and touch a couple rough trees!
I learned that macroinvertebrates they eat plants also that leaches are small black and slimy. Also arachnida they have 8 legs and small and black.
I learned that using your senses can help you identify other things such as trees and birds. While we were sitting, we heard bluebirds chirping and bullfrogs croaking. We felt trees that rough and smooth.
At Mr.B's I was able to hear all of the birds chirping. Finches,Mourning Doves,Blue Jays, and Mallard Ducks. I was also able to feel the breeze, trees, and the dirt. I could smell the rootbeer scented plant. Finally, I could see the Mallard Duck eggs.
I noticed that the birds are always chirping and some trees are very pointy than they look.
I learned about plants and animals i didn't know were in Mr.B's. I also respect Mr.B's a lot more now then i already did.
I learned about plants and animals I didn't know lived in Mr.B's. I also respect Mr.B's a lot more than I already did before.
That you can notice more wildlife then you originally thought what was at Mr. B's.
I noticed that nature is a wonderful place and many people do not notice that.
I observed sounds that I never heard before. Such as the bugs buzzing and the birds chirping. I also noticed several snakes sticking up there head at the peak of the lake.
By taking time to observe and use my other senses I started to notice many different things. Many of the animals that get scared by loud noises started to feel comfortable and continued what they were doing because everyone stayed quite. I also could hear the different songs of birds and tell which bird they came from. When you aren't running around, you get the time to just sit, its very relaxing.
I noticed that you do not need all of your senses such as sight to enjoy life in the outdoors. While I was blind folded I could realize that there are more sounds that I did not pay attention to while I could see. As well as hearing more sounds I could smell more things like pine. I know there are people in this world who do not have one or more senses, but they can still enjoy the outdoors.
By taking time to observe nature quietly using my other senses i realized that nature is more than what you just see. i could hear birds that i wouldnt of noticed if i were just looking at nature and smelled leaves that i wouldnt of smelled if i were just looking at nature.
I learned that by using my other senses, I can experience the life at Mr.B's on a whole new level. It helped me take the time to fully understand the true wonder of Mr.B's Backyard Classroom and the species that inhabit it.
By observing nature quietly using other senses I learned that nature does not need to be seen to be appreciated.
when we were observing, you had to move slowly. The teacher said "move more, see less, move less see more" Which is very true. I stayed near one area to watch and listen to all the animals plus insects. When my friend blindfolded me, all i touched was bark and leaves. I didn't get that far. It was a great experience in Mr.Bs backyard. I hope we go back soon.
I noticed how quiet it was, and calm. The birds chirping and the water sloshing around along with the gentle breeze blowing on your face seemed calm to me. The wind wasn't to cold, it was perfect. The smell of the air was like a type of fragrance only, it was just the water and plants i smelled. I noticed that the oxygen was fresh also.
I learned that nature is beautiful and an awesome place to be. It was quiet, except for birds chirping and frogs croaking. The trees were swaying and gave a pleasant scent.
I think mr.b's is better appropriate nature a lot more than when looking at nature. You can notice the little things.
When at Mr.B's Backyard Classroom, it is important to be quit and still. You don't want to scare the animals, or you don't want to be so loud that you don't hear bird songs. keeping quite is more important than you think, if you are loud and moving a lot, you can miss everything
I learned that we really take for granted our senses because when we take the time to use all of them there is so much more nature to explore than just what meets the eye. Also even though we don't realize it there can be tons of different nature in just one spot that we hadn't taken the time to see.
I noticed that by taking time to observe nature quietly using my other senses, I felt more relaxed. Also, I noticed calming noises, like birds chirping, to little children screaming during their recess. I also smelled many things, from a branch that smelled like root-beer, to the pond's water.
I noticed that Mr.B's has so many different textures and sounds. While I was standing there I could hear the bird calls clearly and I heard the wind moving past me while feeling a shiver. The noise that the rest of the class was making was nothing compared to the beautiful sounds of the pond. Feeling around blind was pretty scary but you really put your other senses to the test. I could feel the uneven earth under my boots and the leaves hitting my hair. The feeling of the different trees were cool and some of the leaves were so soft I wanted to take all of them and sew them into a blanket and a pillow. I loved walking around Mr.B's blind folded I felt way more connected to nature.
The more quiet you are the more living things come out for you to see and observe.
I learned that there are a lot more things in nature than people think. If you just take a minute to observe the world you will find many things.
I learn that there is more to see than what meets the eye. When I'm told to take notes I often just right down what I see. Now I have came to the realization that I can take notes and observe things without sight.
I learned that there a lot more to nature than I thought. There more sound than the chirping of the birds or the snakes moving in the grass. There is more than the feel of bark and the leaves. There more smells than the sassafras.
At Mr.b's I learned how many animals and how many naturus creatures live inside Mr.B.
I heard the many different calls of birds, and I also noticed the smell of plants and how to distinguish plants by smell. I also felt the plants and learned that sassafras feels smooth while pitch pines feel rough.
Many different types of birds make many different sounds. We can only hear them if we block out the other sounds and not move.
One thing I noticed when I was using my natural senses to observe Mr.B's is that you don't need eyes to see how beautiful nature is. I mean you can hear the birds and other animals, smell all of the scents of flowers, tree's and just the smell of the out doors.
I observed that if you use your other senses that you could determine between species of animals. For example if you can't tell between a certain bird by just seeing you can just listen to tell between the species. I realized that it is more helpful then it seems. Using your other senses is a major part of observing nature.
I discovered all the different organisms. I did not know how many organisms were at Mr. B's
I learned that everything makes a sound, the wind against my ears, grass rustling, leaves flapping, branches smacking against each other, birds chirping, frogs croaking, bugs flying around buzzing, animals splashing in the water.
What I learned At Mr.B's backyard classroom is that if you use your other senses, you can experiment with the world around you. You can hear things you wouldn't, because you would be too focused on what you would see. You get to have fun with other things.
Using my other senses I realized how many birds there are in Mr.B's! I really heared all the birds chirping. I also heared frogs jumping into the ponds in Mr.B's. It made me appreciate Mr.B's more.
While observing Mr. B's with other senses I noticed that other animals and organisms were present besides the normal ones that I could see. I also noticed that there were differences in trees that the eye couldn't catch. For example two trees looked the same however, they felt very different.
I noticed the birds chirping and leaves rustling when I observed quietly. I also observed that the barks on the trees are different when I used my touch sense.
when I went back to Mr B's I noticed that the ponds were filled up since we been there.
When we did the blindfold walk around it was kind of scary. I kept falling down. But thats besides the point, i heard a lot of birds chirping i felt different trees. it was really interesting use my sense or small, feel, and hear.
I noticed that Mr.B's is surprisingly quite different being blind folded. Its a lot more peaceful and relaxing with your eye's closed.I don't know why but I think I can observe better with my eyes closed. This is something I noticed at Mr.B's when using my other senses.
I learned that even though Mr. B's is beautiful to look at, there is so much more than what the eye can see there. I could hear all of the birds calling and the leaves rustling in the wind. I smelled sassafras and learned about the sounds that the different animals make. All in all, I think that this experience has made me appreciate all of the aspects of Mr. B's much more.
I noticed other things than what i would if i didn't use my other senses. Somethings i saw was small insect flying around, trees blowing in the wind, and water snakes. I touched many types of trees, bark, and more. I smelled flowers, pollon, and trees. I heard birds singing, trees blowing in the wind, and snakes moving on the leaves.
i observed that a lot of yellow pollen floting on the water and i salll more frogs and snakes a usual their were alot of birds and ducks on the water and up in the sky
I learned that you don't need to see to experience nature. I also learned that Being blindfolded can help you experience nature. I noticed that most people take nature for granted.
When I observed quietly with my other senses, I noticed there were much more animals. I also noticed the animals were more active than before.
I learned that people are better off using their senses except their eyes. I'm not saying they should go blind. I'm saying they should use their other senses more instead of their eyes.
In the past I have gone to Mr.B's, and I have always enjoyed what I experience there. After doing this activity I was able to see what happens in Mr. B's from a new perspective. It has made me realize how active Mr. B's is, and improved my experience.
I learned that Mr.B's is more active then I thought by taking my time to observe nature with only my hearing. When I went there before, I only was interested in what I saw, but now after I did this activity, I know that Mr.B's is way more amazing that i'd thought before.
At Mr.b's I learned that nature is a very beautiful thing. I have also learned to respect nature and without it the world wouldn't be world.
The birds seemed to be chirping louder since the class became quiet. I could hear the branches swaying and the leaves whistling in the breeze. Since I moved less I saw more
It felt good doing this because i got to smell nature to its finest, hear all the beautiful birds around me with the blowing wind, and feel all the gaps in the leaves. It was really beautiful outside that day.
I noticed the birds don't just sit around and stay at their nest, they fly around once in a while. I learned that if you are blind folded you hear the bird chirping in a pattern. I also learned that the trees have a bunch of different textures.
I noticed not everything is about what you see. We sometimes take our other senses for granted. When you can't see anything you have to rely on your hearing and touch. We got to experience what it's like to not see. I learned that nature is great with all senses.
l've learned that during the summer animals colors are brighter and there more active.
when i was in mr bs i noticed that there are a lot of black water snakes and snakes in general i saw a mother duck laying over her eggs to keep them safe
That the world is more noticible
I noticed a lot more animals when I took the time to listen then I would follow were it is and see it.
That there are a lot of animals that we might not see but can hear and feel. Also there are a lot of bugs in the water that tell you if there river is healthy or not
It was actually pretty cool. When my eyes were covered my friend guided me around and i touched trees and bushes
How many life and how many animals life at Mr.B's
I never really liked Mr Bs. Mr Bs was annoying.
I learned that we live in the Mullica Watershed. The nice lady showed us the different types of pollution and told us how we can help our community.
