When I went to Mr.B's I learned many things. I learned that a watershed is a where different bodies of water meet. Also when it rains it goes to Mr.B's lake and then goes to the Great Bay, finally it goes to the Atlantic Ocean.I would love to learn more.

What I learned is that Mr. B's backyard classroom is a part of the Mullica River. Also, I learned that Mr. B's has two types of basins: detention and retention. It's important to take care of them because if we pollute our waters, the animals that inhabit it will get sick. If they get sick and we catch them to cook/eat them, we will get really sick and possibly die.

They can become polluted very easily from plastic, oil, chemicals, litter and more. We can prevent pollution by walking more and driving less, not littering, using less fertilizer, pick up pet waste, use alternatives to pesticides, and recycling our plastic rather than throwing it out. It is important to take care of our watersheds because pollution is bad for wildlife and we need somewhere for run off and rain water to go.

A Watershed is a drain/runoff where different bodies of water meet. Mullica River --> Great Bay --> Atlantic Ocean. We learned that litter, fertilizer, oil, and many other things will was away when it rains into the ocean, stream, or river. The drains in Mr. B's Backyard lead the water to the Mullica River. We should protect Mr. B's Backyard because if we don't it will get nasty and the kids in lower grades wont have the opportunity that we had.

The two types of basins at Mr. Bs are detention and retention. Retention basins retain water and in detention basins the water dries up or gets drained out after a while. Mr. Bs runoff goes into the Mulica watershed so we need to protect it. Ways to protect it are to not litter, use less fertilizer and pesticides and much more.

It is important that we need to take care of the watersheds because later on we may be drinking this water without knowing what is in the water we call clean. So if we just keep it clean in the first place we wouldn't have to worry about what we are cleaning.

The water shed becomes polluted when oil, trash, fertilizer, and animal waste wash away. There are some ways we can prevent this. We can use are cars and boats less for oil leaks. Also don’t LITTER. Use less fertilizer and make sure it not spouse to rain so it doesn’t wash away. It is important to protect are watershed because you are killing living things. Some people eat fish and need too so we don’t want those animals be probated or extinct. Also it will make the world cleaner.

For instance, rain goes into the Atlantic Ocean, and the Mullica River. Rain also goes into the ground. The watershed becomes polluted by oil spills, litter, plastics, chemicals, poop, and fertilizers. Point source pollution is pollution you can point to it's source, and nonpoint pollution is pollution you don't know where it came from. You can protect our watersheds by using electric cars, stop littering, walk or bike more, maintain cars and boats, pick up your pet's poop, and use less fertilizers. The two types of ponds at Mr. B's are a detention basin(not always have water), and retention basin(always has water). Mr. B's connects to Mullica River underground. Don't pollute Mr. B's or else animals will die and our drinking water will be polluted!

I learned that watersheds need to be taken care of, because everything goes into the ocean such as plastic, oil, animal waste, pesticides, etc. We need to take care of watersheds because animals need clean water. Sea animals cant get stuck in plastic or breath in the oil that drains in to the ocean. So you should do things like ride your bike instead of driving, or just use less items with plastic, all these things could help clean the water one step at a time

Since watersheds connect many bodies of water together in a area we need to protect them because, where we pollute in the water, travels to many places.For example if you pollute a body of water in a area connected to a watershed than the pollution can travel through the watershed and pollute so many other bodies of water. We need to protect these watersheds so we can enjoy all the water that travels through them, and if all the water is polluted and dangerous than we won't be able to enjoy fresh drinking water, or entertainment held in the water areas. During this lesson, I learned that Mr.B's backyard is apart of a huge water shed in New Jersey. It is connected to three main bodies of water including Mullica River, The Great Bay, and The Atlantic Ocean. Mr.B's consists of two different types of water basins called Retention and Detention basins. The Retention pond is the main pond in front. It will always be filled with water that runs off from the from the parking lot and fields. It is important that we protect Mr.B's because it connects to main waters sources and prevents ground erosion if to much water builds up in the ground.With out Mr.B',our grounds would be flooded.

Acid rain, oil, cans, gasoline, salt, liter, animals, and plastic are just few of the things that pollute the waters. Point pollution is when you know what polluted the water. NonPoint pollution is when you don't know what polluted the water. Picking up trash, picking up after your pet, recycling, using less pesticides/ fertilizer, using compost, and fixing leasks from your car is a few way you could help prevent pollution

I didn't know that the rain can wash all the waste into the water no matter how far away the pollution is from the water. If you pollute in watersheds' it can end up in any water (lake, river, ocean, sea, and pool).
